Sauna Hats

A sauna hat protects your head and hair from intense heat, letting you stay in the sauna longer and get more from every session.

In a traditional Finnish sauna, temperatures regularly reach 80–100°C. Without protection, the scalp absorbs heat far faster than the body- causing discomfort, dizziness, and damage to colour-treated or dry hair. A well-made sauna hat acts as an insulating barrier, regulating head temperature so your sessions are more comfortable, longer, and safer.

When choosing a sauna hat, the material matters most. Wool- particularly merino- is the optimal choice for good reason: it's naturally heat-resistant, moisture-wicking, and durable enough to withstand repeated high-heat exposure. Look for thick, densely felted construction rather than loosely knitted wool, which offers far less insulation. Fit matters too- a hat that sits too loosely won't protect evenly, and one that's too tight becomes uncomfortable quickly in the heat.
